Is refrigeration alone enough to keep food fresh? Our technology goes beyond refrigeration to naturally double shelf life.

Since 2014, we’ve been working with BluWrap to double the shelf life of fresh proteins through its patented fuel cell technology which controls the oxygen level and temperature of refrigerated containers.

The technology enables us to naturally extend the shelf life of fresh meat and fish, such as salmon, pork and poultry, ensuring it remains in prime condition. By adopting this approach we can transport fresh produce across the world by ship or train, rather than air, reducing the cost and CO2 emissions, without the use of environmentally damaging polystyrene, artificial preservatives or the increased costs associated with freezing and thawing foods.

BluWrap has brought about a revolution in protein supply chains, reducing the environmental impact of transporting fresh food on the planet, maintaining its quality for consumers and its value for producers at a lower cost.
